
Bar & Catering Equipment
There are so many different products and equipment available for the catering and bar industries. The range is so broad that I will go over some of the available products here.
Bar Equipment
This can range from anything like and ice maker to a dishwasher, bar equipment is quite similar to catering equipment and one usually comes with the other as bars have kitchens for food preparation as well as serving drinks. One of the most popular products are ‘Optics’ these are usually mounted on the back wall in view of the public and each one stores one bottle of drink, the drink is held upside down and filters into a measuring unit. When pressed down the bottle will only release one serving worth of drink (known as a shot) these measures at 25mm however some optics offer doubles witch dispense 50mm per time. Anther piece of equipment that is essential are Bar Fridges (I went through these in detail in a previous article). Pourers and Measurers are also essential along with a Glass Washer. (You do not want customers receiving dirty glasses all the time). Glasses must be washed everyday and permanently kept clean.
Catering Equipment
This range is even bigger and has so many products that it would take an age to list them all, an obvious essential are ovens and general cooking equipment, more subtly products like decorative cutlery and plates all fall under this category. A few others products are Microwaves, Dishwashers, Toasters, Pots and Pans… and many more.
